Never again: Chanel Beauté Initiale eye
Every girl enjoys luxurious brands, if only for the pampering feeling they give you when buying and afterwards using them. From time to time I enjoy buying such a product, after the proper examinations such as "do I really need/want it?", " is it worth its money?". I don't like spending too much on products that have a poor effect and just turn out to be a regret. That said I bought this eye cream from Chanel after having read mostly good reviews on it, I've always been interested in their skin care line - this was the chance to try it.
Smoothes and corrects all signs of fatigue: dark circles, puffiness and fine lines. Continuously energised, your eyes glow with vitality and well-being. Dark circles appear to fade, the look of puffiness is reduced. Your skin is protected and absolutely irresistible. Every day it appears stronger, perfectly equipped to help prevent the first signs of ageing.
Derivatives of Vitamins (C and E) and essential trace elements (Magnesium, Manganese, Zinc and Copper) form an energising boost and help give the skin the daily concentrate of energy it needs to renew and rebuild itself. Blue Ginger PFA - an exceptional, polyfractionated ingredient - provides simultaneous action to revive and protect. It boosts radiance by stimulating the synthesis of VEGF* - an element that plays a key role in healthy looking skin. A powerful antioxidant shield, it protects against the free radicals that most threaten the youthful appearance of your eyes.
Formulated with a yeast extract, rich in Vitamin PP, to visibly correct puffiness and the look of dark circles. The delightful gel-emulsion glides over the skin with a smooth, fresh touch. Its pale pink texture envelops your eyes in softness. Your skin is perfectly moisturised, smooth and fresh.
The product has a very light fresh scent and is a pink see-through gel. It spreads easily and your skin absorbs it quite fast. It leaves my skin feeling moist. I've been able to use it 4 to 5 months and noticed that in summer/fall this gel was moisturizing enough but when the winter began I had to use more of it to get the same desired effect, and yet sometimes it wouldn't be moisturizing enough. I mainly used it in the evening, as it doesn't contain an SPF - which is weird, because the USA-version does have an SPF of 15?-. It didn't irritate my skin at any time, so safe to say it's sensitive-skin-proof. I didn't notice my skin becoming stronger or any dissapearing of fine lines. I can't comment on dark circles as I don't have any. The product does leave my skin looking healthy and fresh.
The goods: non-irritating, fresh scent, sinks in fast, hygienic packaging
The bads: high price, not moisturizing enough for drier skin, claims aren't fulfilled
Overall this product is way overpriced in comparison to what it is, it retails for 60-65euros/15ml. If I'm paying this amount of money on something, it -bloody hell- would better work...! I have no clue as to why people like this product and justify their spendings on it. Anyway, sadly -for me-, this isn't a state-of-the-art product, it's just a basic eye moisturizer and is not worth this amount of money.

This is really wonderful products. I am pleased with it.
And what do you like about it then?? I'm curious.
