NOTD Catrice Lost in Mud

The last couple of days the weather is becoming darker and rainy and such, so does my polish mood. I decided to put on a muddy fall colour... I bought this polish by Catrice a while back, when I was doing my giveaway but hadn't used it yet. It is supposed to be a look-a-like for Chanel Particuliere, well judge for yourself, here she is:

When applying I was really impressed with the coverage: one thick layer offers enough coverage. I only put up 2 layers on my thumb and ringfinger as they are a bit larger. Application went really smooth, no struggle at all and it has a lovely finish to it as well. Tiny downside: I'm on my third day of wearing the polish and it's starting to show on the tips and sides of my nails - even though I have a topcoat on. But that's just a minor something, as this polish is really cheap.

Quick haul

Today a quick haul as I'm a busy bee. At the moment I'm cleaning out my closset 'cause I will be putting up a blogsale soon, so be sure to check-in this week. The last weeks I haven't bought much *good girl*, just a couple of things to share...

I did an order with Beautyexpert, a new UK based shop I found which I recommend - has a lot of great brands, for 3 things: first up is a day lotion SPF30 from Peter Thomas Roth -this is actually for my boyfriend, not for me-, a Nude cleansing facial oil which was on my list -curious to see whether I like it more than my Dermalogica one and BrowMousse by Tweezerman as I'm still searching for a good clear eyebrowgel. Along with the order I got a nice catalogue and 2 samples:

Then, this weekend I popped into the IciParis while browsing the market with my mum. I wanted to buy the Re-Nutriv Softening Lotion by Estée Lauder, which is one of their most luxurious lines. I've been reading good things about it -lots of antioxidants- so it's suitable for any age although Lauder claims this is for mature women, maybe because of its price tag *expensive*, I wanted to try it for myself. There are little gold particles in the lotion, luxurious or what?

And lastly this came in this morning. I'm also quite a fan of organic skincare and recently I discovered the wesbite iherb which offers a lot of organic stuff for a cheap price and reasonable shipping rates all over the world. Both eyecreams were bought through recommendation of Paula Begoun. The eye cream for Men is unisex but it has an SPF of 15, which I love. I also bought a lip balm containing vitamin C.

Anything catches your eye, let me know!

NOTD OPI Kiss on the Chic

It's been a while since I put up a NOTD because of my tiny accident. I just didn't feel comfortable putting on a polish. It's still very tiny so I took a picture of my other hand, yes I'm that vein. Because of the pink ribbon month I decided to opt for a pink colour, one of my favourites. This was one of the first OPI polishes I bought *sentimental* and I've used it quite heavily, more than half empty as you can see. It's getting difficult to get a decent amount out of it, it's also becoming very thick and it was tricky to apply. Anyone else got this problem with a creme colour?
I used 2 thick layers but if you like heavier coverage or a more intense colour you could do with 3. This is a really light pink, gorgeous nude, that doesn't scream "barbie" which often is the problem of pink polishes.

Which are your favourite pinks?
