Beauty ponders

The packaging is drop-dead-gorgeous and so it should be for its price (between 60-70euros, so try to catch it in discount when it's 30% off or so). The gold cap, the gold pump, the beautifull letters, the milk glass bottle - it's a picture perfect don't you think? The pump works easy in dispensing and you can also take it off to get the rest of the product out of it when it's getting empty. The bottle contains 30ml of product.

Initially I bought colour 3 natural beige (left) in the summer, but in the winter I need colour 2 flesh beige (right). Colour 2 is a very neutral colour that will suit most fair skin tones, I mostly have a hard time finding a colour that suits me and this does it perfectly! Colour 1 is called ultra fair and has a very pink undertone to it. There are a total of 8 shades available. As you can see it's well pigmented and provides a decent coverage in the swatches. It looks very liquid and creamy, but after blending it in, it leaves a more powdery finish. It also has a flowery scent to it, it's very light and doesn't disturb me but gives a nice touch to the luxurious feeling...

Quite some time ago I talked about the exclusive brand of By Terry and shared my products with you. She offers make-up and skincare, both in the high end department. I've already talked about her make-up, today it's time for an item from her skincare line of Roses. I love the scent of Roses and the packaging of this line is very beautifull, a lovely soft pink all over...

A radiance booster par excellence, this fondant mask restores freshness and radiance to tired, dry and devitalized skin. Bursting with premium botanical extracts, its hydra-calming formula replenishes, smoothes and infuses the epidermis with softness and serenity. Its rich and creamy texture has a relaxing effect and plunges the face into a revitalizing comforting bath with an instant smoothing effect. Supple, silky and hydrated, the skin appears plumped up and illuminated with a rosy glow. The features are relaxed and the complexion perfectly even with restored clarity.

A lovely pink tube packaging with engraved letters on it, hello luxurious feeling - for 55euro/100ml. The cream itself is quite thick and also has a light pink colour. When squeezing it out of the tube, the scent hits your nose and it's perfect! The best roses scent ever, I could sniff on it all day... Apart from having a great scent, let's have a closer look at it.

Make sure you don't hit my cheek!! I apply a thick layer of this cream (picture above shows when a lot has sunk in already) and leave it on for as long as I have time, usually about half an hour. It doesn't come with a specific time so just adjust to your likings. When applying the cream I'm definitely aware of its freshness, it's creamy and the scent works relaxing. After half an hour I remove what's left with a few cotton pads. My skin feels hydrated and very soft/supple. The remains of the cream leave your skin glowing, but this is only temporary. If you wash it off, your glow is gone...

Overall this is a good masque, I just wish it wasn't so expensive, which doesn't make it recommendable for regular use. I would only use this on special occasions before your make-up, so you can benefit from the glow if you're willing to spend some. It does contain perfume, but my sensitive skin didn't get irritated.

I haven't come across an equally good masque with a scent I like, so I might repurchase this one to use once in a while. You do get 100ml *trying to justify me buying it*!

A while ago I talked about By Terry in an article of the brand and let you in on some of the products I have. It's such a luxurious high end brand - pricey - and I love those. But does it also deliver quality? We'll see... She offers a lot of touch pens and I was curious to try them. Lisa Eldridge was really enthousiastic about this pen and it was also a product that immediately got my attention. There are 3 colours available: porcelain (pinkish), cream (light) and beige (medium), no alternative for dark skin tones sorry girls. I swatched it in the store and went for the cream which was light enough for me.

This multi-perfecting anti-dark circle brush provides high coverage correction for astonishingly natural anti-blemish camouflage. It brightens dark circles, camouflages blemishes, wrinkles and fine lines and instantly illuminates the eye contour area with restful radiance. Its elastic powdery texture glides over the skin and guarantees a matte, crease-free result. Application tip: click, place the brush on the marked areas and blend, smoothing over bare skin or makeup.

The pen is quite pricey and costs around 35-40 euros, available in selected stores only or online at her homepage. The price is up for debate because for its money you get 6,5ml in comparison to YSL touche eclat where you only get 2,5ml. So actually the By Terry is cheaper. I'm happy with this product and so far I haven't found a better undereyeconcealer for my dry skin (any tips - let me know), I would repurchase this.

I first heard about this luxurious brand 2 years ago on an English fashion forum where people were raving about her products and the fact that she has an entire skin care line based on roses... Well, you might have noticed but I love roses and after some research I realised there was an ICI Paris counter that carried By Terry very close to me, lucky me! By Terry offers skin care and make-up.

If you say By Terry you're speaking about absolute luxe. Her line is expensive but some products are worth it. If you want to indulge in luxury, check her out. Before she dedicated herself to her line, she worked close with YSL and it is in fact her who invented the touch pens, also available in her line. Other products that people rave about are:

• touch veloutee / touch expert

One of her foundations, the Lumière Veloutée in colours 3 summer and 2 winter - love the packaging milk glass bottle and golden top -. I wore this a lot last year (practically every day) and it is one of the best foundations I've used when I had normal skin as this gives you the most beautifull finish - your skin looks perfect. But sadly enough my skin has become a lot drier and this isn't a good foundation for dry skin because of its powdery finish. I still have 1/3 in each bottle (30ml) left and occasionally try it to see if my skin can pull it off. Bummer, I loved this even though it had a heavy price tag of 60-70euros, I didn't need much to cover my face.

Then two of her 'star' products, the well known pens: the light expert in 2 and the touche veloutee in 2. The light expert is intended as a foundation brush or a highlighter and the touche veloutee is a concealer as well as a highlighter. Both products cost between 30 and 40 euros.

And lastly one of her skin care items from the roses line, the first product I bought from her, the Radiance Renewing Mask. It comes in a gorgeous pink packaging and when opening it up the best roses scent ever enters your nose. Costed 50euros.
