Today let's talk body talk... Sadly enough I have to admit that I often neglect it. After taking a bath I have to force myself to use some moisturizer, lazy - yes, I confess! But it is important and I do my best to maintain it a bit or so I try to tell myself^^.
Summer is here, so tanned soft legs are a must, accompanied by skirts & dresses... But I often end up with ingrown hairs, very annoying and those little bumps aren't appealing... This BHA from Paula's Choice promises to get rid of them?

You get a big tube of 210ml for around 25euros, only available in her webshop. Packaging is easy & simple, with a little squeeze you can control the amount of product easily. The product is white, gel-like and has a light scent - bit medical - but not really disturbing. It spreads easily and doesn't irritate my skin in any way... Now onto the big question... does it help? Yes, it does! In the beginning I used it a few days in a row where I now use it once in a while. However, a little point of negative... with repeated use I noticed my skin becoming drier, so use of another moisturizer inbetween is necessary.
The goods: tube packaging, fulfills claims (!), non-irritating, spreads easily

The bads: bit medical scented, can dry out skin with repeated use, only available through webshop, not cheap at 20-30euros
Altogether a good product that does what it promises... So if you sometimes suffer from little bumps, store this in your bathroom - you won't be disappointed!

After my praise of Louis Widmer's deo spray I went ahead and ordered the crème & stick as well, thinking if one is good the other must be as well. But there are & always will be exceptions to this rule I guess. Because of the winter I started using the deo creme, adding my dry skin & winter together - this deo should be perfect for it. If only...
Packaging is sleek & simple - I prefer no-nonsense instead of over-the-top. There's a dop on top, you have to turn the bottom to get the creme product out of it - it almost 'jumps' out of the bottle - very funny. I used one twist for daily usage. It has a very very light scent, hardly noticeable. It doesn't irritate and glides on easily. It keeps me fresh & hydrated all day... Then what's wrong with it, you might ask? I only noticed after wanting to wash my clothes... I wore a black shirt and there were white stains all over it on the inside, off course from this product. I tried different fabrics but with the same effect - it keeps leaving stains (which you can wash out, that's true) & I'm way too scared the stains are visible on the outside when wearing something light or see-through. I tried using less product but that didn't help either...
I am a bit disappointed in this product, I expected more from it, definitely! Oh well, I still love the deo spray & will continue to use that one forever - not that particular one you know - as it doesn't have this problem.

I still have the dry stick to try out though, but first I'm sticking with this spray untill it's empty, then I'm willing to give the other one a shot!

Deodorants and likings don't usually bother me that much and mostly I just use what I think smells nice & fresh. That was untill I ran into this review about this spray, noticing my problem of clothes turning yellow and textures of clothing changing due to my summer sweat... If this spray would get rid of that, bring it on. So on my next visit to the apothecary I bought a bottle and opted for the spray (they also have a stick, cream and roller available).
The packaging is sleek & simple. Louis Widmer always has the white/pink theme going on. The bottle itself is white plastic with a dop on it that covers a spray. The spray contains 75ml and has a price of 10euros. I've been using it for half a year now and I'm almost out of it, my deodorants always seem to last me a long time. Mostly because I don't spray it everywhere on my body: you know those people that just spray and spray it on, with an overdose smelling awfull? I just use 1-2 sprays on my armpits and then I'm good to go.
What I love about this spray are its ingredients. It doesn't contain any harmfull alcohol and you also have the choice of buying one that contains perfume or doesn't - a big plus for very sensitive skins (this whole no-perfume thing is used in a lot of Louis Widmer products). I opted for the one with perfume as I like it to have a bit of a nice scent. The spray is convenient, just take the dop off and it's ready for usage. It distributes enough product and leaves my skin refreshed. It has a very light fresh scent, just enough but not too much to overwhelm your perfume. It dries quickly on the skin and even after shaving it doesn't irritate. The results of this spray indeed meet its claim: my clothing remains perfect and I have no yellow spots appearing or changing textures. I've also noticed I've been sweating less.

The bads: price

Overall I've been loving this product so much.  It's indeed more expensive than other deodorants but it's totally worth it. All my previous deodorant problems are gone, this one is just perfect and finally fulfills its claims! I will continue to buy this again & again, although I might try the stick or roller in the future...

When I purchased this product I was initially searching for a massage oil with a nice scent. I popped into the store and fell in love with the scent of this oil... It's called organic white lotus & yi yi ren (some kind of seeds that nurtures your skin), it's light and refreshing. I mostly smell white flowers such as roses and the lotus, afterwards there's a hint of sandelwood. I simply adore this smell, I wish they would made a perfume smelling exactly like this one - I would be all over it! Now onto the working part... This is a really rich oil, very nourishing for dry skin. I love getting a massage with this one but I also use it after taking a bath and it works really well on my skin. If you don't have dry skin this may be a bit too greasy for this purpose. It's an oil so it warms up nicely when massaging and the scent spreads very well making it easy to relax.

Packaging is adorable, with the little hearts on it and I like the small poemy thing as well. The smells reminds me most of overly mature strawberries, the scent is also very strong - honestly, it's a bit too much for me. The product is a thick shower gel with little particles in it. It's also quite creamy and feels really moisturizing. Now, it's intented to be used on wet skin only so I did and used it as stated above. My skin did indeed feel smooth. But after drying my skin, I got red dots all over, like a bit of a rash. I decided to give the product a few more chances and tried it alone as well, but that didn't help at all. My sensitive skin clearly can't bear this product. When I checked the ingredient list I noticed SLS and perfume were very high on it, so that's probably the cause of it.

I'm quite disappointed in this product. It shouldn't matter that much that I have sensitive skin, a shower gel shouldn't irritate at all. Due to this product I'm not very keen on trying other things from their line. I wouldn't recommend this at all, if something works irritating it's best to avoid it all at once...

The packaging is a pink tube - I like pink - and looks very neat. The ingredients look ok, although it contains paraben on the lower part of the list. When opening the top, you immediately smell the sweet scent of this scrub, due to the berry in it. I enjoy this scent, but for some it may be a bit too much... The scrub is a very light pink with dark spickles in it, probably from the berry, to make it scrubable. It's a crème says the tube and this is really true: the product is thick and creamy. It states that you should use it on wet skin, but I found this didn't work that well - it glid on my skin without actually scrubbing it. When using it on dry skin however, it scrubs easily and leaves your skin very soft. Afterwards you can just wash it off.

Overall, I'm finishing this product and it's not bad but it's not that good either. It's quite annoying that it doesn't work well on wet skin. I like to use my scrubs while I'm in bath and not before hopping into it. I liked the scent in the beginning but lately I've grown a bit tired of it, maybe it's a bit too much for me as well. An ok product but not that special after all... Etos, you can do better!!

Funny fact is that this roll-on is a little bit different than other roll-ons. Usually the rolling part is on the top, with Sanex it's the other way around. This gives you a huge benefit as when it's beginning to empty you don't need to put it on its head and be carefull where you put it or otherwise it will fall. You are able to use full potential of the 50ml inside it. It doesn't contain alcohol, again a big plus in my eyes. It does contain perfume but it's on the lower part of the ingredient list so normally it wouldn't botter you that much.

It has a clean and fresh scent to it which reminds me most of flowers. When applying it, it sinks fast into your skin and leaves it moisturized and soft afterwards. It didn't irritate me at all. The scent doesn't stay put all day off course and I don't think it gives you 24h protection. When I put it on before going to work, it will do its job during the day. But I can't say the same for when you workout or anything like that: then you would need to reapply it.

This is a good deodorant that I've enjoyed using and will most likely buy again, but maybe in another scent. It certainly delivers value for its money. Sanex offers a wide range of deodorants that's worth a peek into :)

Roses, budget, lotion, pink... sounds like music to my ears!! So when I saw this half a year ago in an Avon catalogue (*a special edition of their care body lotion*) I didn't hesitate and ordered a bottle. It costed 4euros for 400ml.

Today a review of a mouthful product: the Avon Planet Spa African sheabutter brown sugar body scrub, wow, I just didn't want to put it as a whole in the title... Who comes up with these long names? I ordered it because I am a fan of brown sugar, I love the scent of it especially in the winter - I find it relaxing, calming etc. Avon has a Planet Spa line so you can perform your own little Spa at home, this line is more expensive than the rest of their stuff. I bought this product for 5euros in promotion and you get 150ml in return. Let's see if it's worth it...

This non-drying foaming scrub cleans and refreshes as it polishes to remove dry, flaky skin. Leaves skin velvety smooth and healthy looking. Massage over body in gentle circular motions, paying attention to rough areas, rinse. Use 1-2 times a week.

The product is packed in a plastic hard bottle with a lid that has a tiny hole when opened. On the outside of the bottle the product looks brown but when I put it on my hand you clearly see it has a white cast and only brown particles in it. Now, I have a first complaint: it is -nearly- impossible to get it out of the bottle through the tiny hole, you have to squeeze so hard (and the bottle is quite hard as well so squeezing already is difficult), it's just unreal. I had to take the lid of and squeeze again very hard to get some out of it, not userfriendly at all...
The scent reminds me of brown sugar with an artificial hint to it. I think it's the plastic that gives it that scent, didn't like it that much but maybe other people wouldn't mind it. The product itself is a basic scrub that scrubs, it doesn't foam as much as it claims it will do and it doesn't leave my skin feeling smoother than other products. It didn't irritate my skin and left it cleaned after usage. Analysis:

Overall this is a missed opportunity from Avon, with better packaging this product could be better but I would still think it's overpriced - without promotion 10euros. I expected more...

I'm a huge fan of shower gels and stuff, I have way too many but I love buying them. Usually the scent wins me over and I give in... To me, a shower gel doesn't have to have a price tag.

While I was shopping in Aldi, a discount store, I saw one of their weekly offers being a peeling gel in 2 versions -regular and sensitive-. I immediately spotted the pink packaging of the sensitive one, opened it, my nose liked it and then I put it in my bag... Price tag: 2euro, if I recall correct.

You get a 200ml tube for this price, quite good. Packaging is simple, but I like it. On front of the tube it also says it contains shea butter and jojoba oil, lovely ingredients to me! On the back the product doesn't claim much, only that it will eliminate dead skin cells and transform you skin into soft moisturized glowing skin. Exactly what a peeling should do.

The product is white grainy with some pink spots in it, if you look at the swatch you can see a couple of them. As I said, the product has a nice scent: shea butter with a hint of rose in it. I've been using it for a few months now, it does its job well although it could be more grainy but for this price tag I'll just use a bit more :). I have sensitive skin and my skin didn't get irritated by it.
Sadly I'm running out of it and Aldi only offers it once a year so I'll have to wait a few more months to get it again, I'll be buying more this time to stock up for a year...
