Review La Roche-Posay Micellar Lotion

La Roche-Posay definetely is one of the more well-known & famous pharmacy brands. It has a wide range of products and is easily available in most countries. Products are pricewise between mid range and a bit more expensive. This cleanser costs around 11euros for for 200ml, which is very affordable in my eyes. I initially bought it to use as a morning cleanser, when I don't want to be thourough with a normal cleanser and toner, this is a quick and easy method I often use.

Properties: Micellar Physiological Solution gently removes make-up from sensitive skin. Non-comedogenic. Physiological Formulation Charter: - cleansing agents selected for optimal tolerance, high make-up removing power, with La Roche Posay thermal spring water, - physiological pH, soap-free, alcohol-free, colorant-free, paraben-free.

Results: Perfect make-up removal for the sensitive skin on the face, eyes and lips, with respect for their physiological balance.

Packaging is simple and effective, when opened it can be used for 6months. I used this bottle for 3 or 4 months almost on a daily basis. The product has fragrance listed as the last ingredient and there is indeed a light scent to it which is very fresh. The main ingredient is water and the other ingredients are very simple. I'm glad this cleanser is alcohol-free. You can use this as a make-up remover and it does a decent job at this, it's very mild and can easily be used around the eyes. As a cleanser it's also quite good, it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and visibly catches some dirt. The best part is that it doesn't irritate my skin. Off course, you can't compare this to a regular milk- or gelcleanser but for a quick cleanse it's a good one.

The goods: simple and good ingredients, nice scent, doesn't irritate, removes make-up easily, affordable price

The bads: doesn't have any 'other' benefits

Overall this is a cleanser I like: it removes make-up, has a nice scent, works on sensitive skin... But it doesn't do any remarkable improvements: it won't revive your skin or help with fine lines or discolorations and such. This is just a basic no-nonsense cleanser! A good product if bought with the right intention. I might repurchase it in the future...

Review Sigma tapered highlighter F35

And the Sigma saga continues, will they fall in love and live happily ever after? Stay tuned... or should I say "stay read"??

Now serious, I've almost gone through reviewing all my brushes of theirs and I can state that, more or less, 50% of their brushes are of an ok to good quality. I don't regret buying my brushes, because some of them are really worth it. Let's see what F35 does and where it belongs!

Tapered cheek highlighter. Delicately rolls powder under eyes.
The precise tip in this brush enhances cheek highlighting and contouring, 16$.

I bought this brush to use with powder highlighter, it has the perfect tapered top shape for your cheekbones. The bristles are soft enough but at the same time very dense, the bristles don't irritate or sting my face. Sometimes the brush sheds but very minimal and mostly it's just one hair - this even happens with high end brushes. After a few months my brush's bristles are still as present as before.

After having washed the brush several times, I have been using it for half a year or so (and using a brush guard) I can't tame every bristle, there are a few ones that stick out. As long as it's an occasional one, I don't mind. When washing the brush however, it leaks an awful lot of black colour. Washing it multiple times hasn't helped, it still leaks but strangely the bristles' colour stay as intense black as before. It's really important that the brush dries entirely, if it's still a bit humid while using it, it will leave some black streaks - speaking from experience here. This is really - really annoying.

Overall I do enjoy using the brush for highlighter, I just have to be carefull it's dry... I don't know if I would recommend it, the big negative to this brush is the leaking colour but apart from that it's still of an ok quality to me, considering its price. I don't have any other highlighter tapered brushes so I can't really compare. Feel free to share your thoughts!

My new beauty -and other stuff- closset

Quite some time ago I bought a new closset with drawers for beauty stuff, jewelry and other various things. I had taken some pictures of it but forgot to share it -shameful-, so here it is without any fuss:

I bought it in Ikea, it has 6 drawers (4 big ones and 2 small ones on top) that are quite deep. I'm still organising the insides of it, so you won't be seeing them in this article. On top I've placed my perfumes (hello beautiful boxes that I can't get rid of) and my daily box of make-up stuff. By now I've already moved my perfumes into a drawer, I like it to look neat - or I try at least and comfort myself with that thought.

How do you store your beauty stuff and perfumes?

Review Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm

Rosebud is probably one of the most famous producers of lip balm, it's less known in Europe but recently it has become available in several stores so the knowledge will surely spread... I have two lip balms of theirs: the original one and this strawberry one. I like all red fruit: strawberries, cherries, etc I adore the smell - I enjoy eating it, I think you got the picture!

Introduced by G.F.Smith's grandson Allen in the 1960s, Strawberry Lip Balm is our number two seller, this product is formulated to aid in protecting and moisturizing the lips, cuticles, and elbows from the drying effects of the weather. The aroma of Strawberry Shortcake attracts Hollywood Celebrities, Skiers, and Sun Worshipers alike.

I love how these tins look, so retro and adorable. They open easily and contain 22g of product. The balm itself is pink and smells like strawberries but at the same time artificial, which is not to my likings. This could be because of the tin but I can't tell for sure. It applies easily and leaves your lips with a transparant film that feels a bit greasy at first. Key is not to use too much. The texture of the balm varies a lot depending on the room's temperature, this balm benefits from a warmer room for an easier application. It is also supposed to be moisturizing but it didn't feel so to me, if my lips are sensitive or dry - this doesn't do any good. I mainly use it for a quick touch-up or when I want to have 'something' on.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend this balm, if you want to try it - go with the original version, which is much better. You can buy it online for 4-5euros, it's also available in stores but at the price of 10euros. This isn't much in comparison to the amount of product you receive, the tin is sure to last you a long time!

Which is your favourite Rosebud?
